What we do
We are a new project, set up to invite the local community into the garden and also to help and support those in need for whatever reason. We are open all year round, currently running two volunteer sessions a week from 10am – 1pm on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

GROWING
We grow cut flowers for sale within our growing area which includes multiple raised beds in and out of our large polytunnel (kindly donated by Balgove Larder). We also grow vegetables for volunteers to take away with them and hope to be able to support local food initiatives as the project grows.
LEARNING
With the help of a few experts, we are all ‘learning on the job’!
We aim to develop our knowledge of horticulture, healthy living, food handling and preparation as well as increasing our awareness of sustainability and the environment in all that we do.

RESTORING
Slowly slowly we are trying to restore this 200 year old garden to some of its former glory. We have a ‘phase one’ plan for the garden, developed with the generous help of Claire Reading from Brown Earth Landscapes. We have created new flower beds, sown a wildflower meadow and planted an orchard, with big plans for more to come over the next few years.
RELAXING
There’s always plenty of time for coffee and chat, a quiet walk through the woodland area or a snooze in the sun on the lawn!
